It is necessary to do the things the heart longs for. The childlike swells of excitement cannot be smothered out, unless the whole self be smothered too. These passions are interlaced in me. That is why I am here; I am compelled. I love to write!

To love, unfortunately, does not denote genius in the work. I want to improve, and this is a platform for my exploration and development. I gladly welcome feedback and perspective. I plan to be versatile in my posts including poetry, philosophical essays, short stories, book analyses, the occasional funny column or whatever seems fit.

“I know a bank where the wild thyme blows/ Where the oxlip and the nodding violet grows” (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 2, Scene 1, 249-250). Like Shakespeare, writers want to create places. It is in these spaces one can step out of life and view it. I invite you at your leisure to come and visit my blog, a special place of contemplation where the “nodding violet grows. . .”

Can’t wait to hear from you, and thanks for visiting!
